F.A.Q
What is DTF
Dtf stands for direct-to-film printing. It's a versatile and innovative printing technique used to print custom designs onto fabrics and other surfaces.
How it works:
- A design is printed onto a film using a printer with special ink
- The film is coated with adhesive powder
- The film is heated to set the adhesive
- The design can then be heat-pressed onto your apparel!
Why choose dtf
- Versatility: works on almost any fabric or surface. Light or dark
- Durability: designs withstand washing and wear
- Vibrance: produces sharp, colorful prints.
- Ease: quick and user-friendly, great for both professionals and hobbyists.
Dtf printing is leading the industry in custom apparel, promotional products and more!
What is a Gang Sheet?
A DTF gang sheet is a large transfer sheet used in Direct-to-Film (DTF) printing that contains multiple designs arranged together. This method allows for efficient printing by maximizing the use of space on the transfer sheet, making it cost-effective for producing various designs simultaneously.
Key Features of DTF Gang Sheets:
- Multiple Designs: Combine several images or logos on a single sheet, ideal for bulk production.
- Cost Efficiency: Reduces material waste and printing costs by utilizing the entire sheet surface.
- Versatility: Suitable for printing on various fabrics and materials, accommodating different design sizes.
How It Works:
- Design Arrangement: Place multiple designs onto a single digital canvas, ensuring optimal use of space.
- Printing: The compiled designs are printed onto a special film using DTF technology.
- Transfer: Each design is cut from the gang sheet and heat-pressed onto the desired garment or item.
Utilizing DTF gang sheets streamlines the printing process, especially for businesses producing diverse designs in large quantities. This approach enhances productivity and reduces costs, making it a popular choice in the custom apparel industry.
What kind of press do i need
You can use a household iron, and industrial heat press, or any tool in between to apply your DTF transfer.
how do transfers hold up in the wash?
Our DTF transfers are exceptionally durable outperforming traditional heat transfer methods. Their durability stems from their ability to adhere strongly to fabrics, maintain vibrant colors, and resist cracking, peeling, or fading over time. Properly applied, a quality DTF transfer can withstand more than 100 washes. The life of your DTF print is influenced by the quality of the transfer, fabric compatibility (cotton and blends work best), and a correct application process.
how fast can i get my order?
Orders are processed and shipped within 24-48 hrs.
What file format should my artwork be?
For the best results, we recommend vector art files like AI or PDF. If you’re using PNG images, make sure they’re high-quality and at least 300 dpi. This ensures your design is sharp and vibrant!
